Joe is a Computer Engineer in the Olin Class of 2018. Originally from New Jersey, he came to Olin because he thought it was a pretty awesome place. He was right. Soon after arriving, he joined what was then the Olin Robotic Sailing team as part of the Software and Mechanical Subteams. He soon left Mechanical and instead joined the Happiness Subteam. He began sailing at camp as a kid, but his most notable sailing venture was during his gap year before Olin, when he lived on a 112 ft. long schooner for 3 months. Since that trip, he hasn’t done much sailing, but he does still tie lots of knots and sing a sea chanty or two.
