Over the 2020 Spring semester, a team of Olin students engaged with SoTL (Scholarship of Teaching and Learning) in engineering education as a way of supporting and, in some cases, co-designing Summer Institute workshops, as well as providing relevant resources for the Summer Institute participants. SoTL is an emerging field that considers the mutual relationship between teaching and learning with the goal of improving student learning and enhancing educational quality. The student team hopes that this document will be useful to a range of audiences interested in engaging with SoTL in engineering education and, even more broadly, in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education.
