Some things to do before the Virtual Summer Institute begins:

• Create a free account with Zoom: (if you don’t already have one). When you create your account, make sure it is updated to Zoom 5.0.4. We will be conducting the event via Zoom and due to security precautions, we ask that you have an account under your name. You can create an account here.
• Update your Zoom account: If you have an existing zoom account, make sure it is updated to Zoom 5.0.4. We encourage you to update your account as soon as possible. Update your Zoom account here.
• Make sure your account with Zoom is set up with your full name and affiliation (and that the email we have on file matches your Zoom account).
• Use a laptop, desktop computer, or iPad to participate. Chromebooks have restricted capabilities, so please use something else.
• What to wear? Other guests will be able to see you. Please wear something that makes you feel happy and comfortable when viewed by others.
• Introduce yourself: When Zoom prompts you to join the meeting with a name, we ask that you join with your preferred name and affiliation.
